Kuei Tablets
Late Neolithic to Hsia Period
     These two ivory-yellow 
jade  kuei  tablets  were 
originally  smooth  and 
undecorated.  The blade 
of the left-hand tablet still 
bears signs of wear and 
tear.  Both tablets have 
been embellished with 
Ch'ien-lung imperial seals,
verses composed by the 
emperor, and imitation 
antique designs.
